A Simple Anti-Radiation Detox Diet to Protect From Nuclear Disasters

I have been in a little personal conflict since my last post on the important Fukushima news that is NOT being reported. My crisis is a spiritual crisis where I recognize that this issue creates Fear within me. I am navigating how to stay informed without surrendering to Fear. Living under the hand of Fear is why our world is suffering on all levels.

We have served fear for centuries. I see a world where we can choose to no longer be motivated and learn our lessons by being motivated by fear.


I believe we have come to a time in our culture where we must make a choice on which Master we choose to serve:

Faith?

I provide the following two articles with the intention to share what I have learned, on how I am protecting my family, and without injecting Fear into this. I try as much as possible to make swift decisions and then I move on. The implications for those in Japan and on the west coast in the next 5-100 years is significant and mind boggling.

When I let myself imagine what we may be facing, so many emotions run through me. I feel that in order to create the change we want to see in the world, we must not allow our negative fearful emotions to dominate us. We must not make decisions based in fear, or we will never transcend the limitations we now face. We cannot live in fear while asking the universe to collaborate with us on our purpose.

Instead, I am more focused my purpose of leading women on the journey from waiting to birthing their calling. Women with Vision must understand the journey they are on if they are to birth their calling in the world. When women no longer abort their dreams, we will see the change in the world we are seeking. Unpolluted water - I was very pleased to discover our counter top filter has a zeolite stage. This is essential if you want to be sure radioactive particles are not coming through your drinking supply. You can probably find one of these at Whole foods/Choices/Natures Fare etc..

I regret to say that we do not have a whole home system :( BUT we are buying a zeolite shower filter and this is how we will fill the kids bath as well. There is a counter top model for a pretty good price which will tide us over until we do the cost of a whole house filter. We have researched the filter/purification industry…as best we can anyway, and I feel confident in this guys Urban Defender. I found him through Natural News and I spoke with him on the phone a while back and he provided an assessment of our tap water. Very helpful. He has a specific Zeolite stage for his filters.

Miso soup

The regular consumption of miso products helps protect the body from some of the toxic effects associated with radioactivity exposure due to the presence of an ingredient called zybicolin, discovered in 1972, which acts as a binding agent to detoxify and eliminate radioactive elements (such as strontium) and other pollutants from the body.
Because of the presence of zybicolin, miso has been found to counteract the adverse effects of radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and environmental pollution.
You can increase the protective qualities of miso soup even more if 1/4-ounce (5 grams) of dried kelp seaweed is added to the soup for as you know, scientific studies found that seaweed was able to neutralize radioactive isotopes in the human body because they bind to the brown seaweed sodium alginate and increase their excretion from the body by about 80%. Spirulina, Chlorella and the algaes (kelp, etc.) – We do not buy any sea veggies or algaes from the pacific ocean any longer. I am currently using Maine Coast Sea Veg, an Atlantic coast source. Some seaweeds are contaminated with lead or arsenic so you only want to consume seaweed that is deep ocean harvested or has been tested to be free of metal toxicity. I am “on guard” regarding sea veggies because of the dumping of radioactive material into the oceans. Over the long term we can expect this to show up in the algaes first.

Our best choice is Chlorella because of its DNA/RNA cellular growth factors.

Chlorella has the highest chlorophyll content than these others. In fact, it has the highest chlorophyll content of any known plant! It has 5-10 times the chlorophyll content of spirulina, wheat grass and barley grass. (Radiation Detox)

Brassica vegetables and high beta carotene vegetables such as cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, kale, collards, arugula, turnips, radishes, mustard greens, bok choy.

Onions & garlic

Reishi mushrooms

Beans and lentils

Potassium, calcium and mineral rich foods

High nucleotide content foods to assist in cellular repair including spirulina, chlorella, algae, yeast, sardines, liver, anchovies and mackerel

Cod liver oil and olive oil

Foods to AVOID or Use with Caution

Sugar – known immune suppressant

Wheat - know to cause inflammation in body which lowers immune system and grown in fields absorbing radioactive fallout. Used as feed as well as corn etc for animals.

Dairy – we do not eat dairy anymore, for health sake, however keeping in mind that cow consume tons of grass which absorbs radioactive fallout in rain and concentrates in dairy. Keep in mind that we all share the same air and rain, so organic is not safer and apparently is not even tested for radiation contamination anyway.

Meat- same reason as above to avoid. Chickens seem to be less suseptable as they can be raised indoors, the question is concerning their feed source.

Seaweeds – avoid or use caution when buying sources harvested from Pacific North West, China, Japan, Korea etc. You can check dates for harvest before April 2011.

Rice – ABSOLUTELY EAT BROWN RICE! BUT buy from areas other than Japan or Europe. We are using an Indian Basmati right now. I love a USA Organic brand right now, but leery on California grown rice for the future.

Leafy Greens - We stopped eating lettuce and spinach from west coast after considering the possibility that there was radioactive fallout in our rain. People advised to wash spinach. It’s my understanding that greens absorb these particles much easier than other veggies. I have a little 3 tray indoor greenhouse which I will use to grow my greens indoors. I will discuss gardening considerations in the next article.

Here is our Long term Anti-Radiation Diet & Cleansing Approach

Each day we make a “green smoothie” for our first snack with  some spirulina, chorella, IsaGreens (tastes really good to kids!) blueberries, banana, water. They drink it up in no time.

Each day, for our afternoon snack we have a miso soup with kelp, arame & dulse with brown rice.

We all take a teaspoon of local Bee Pollen – I love pollen and find it is effective in dealing with allergies as well so long as it comes form local bees.

We take a daily teaspoon of “Innate Choice” Omega Sufficiency Fish Oil

We take “Innate Choice” Probiotic Sufficiency

We take a very pure liquid Zeolite. I will discuss Zeolite in depth in the next article, but a liquid zeolite is an incredible microtoxin binder to eliminate metals, radiation and pesticides from the body.

I personally take 1 oz of a complex auyervedic antioxidant formula each day.

Once a week, we have a “detox bath.” I consider regular cleansing or detoxing an essential health practice in the age of constant low level radiation exposure. Right now, I would say people need to be considering heavy metal cleansing each year.

Back to the baths: We use epsom, sea salt, baking soda, apple cider vinager and zeolite powder (more on this in the next article) I generally put 1/2 or up to 1 cup of two ingredients listed above into a very warm-hot bath and soak for 20 minutes.

I have potassium iodide in our emergency kit. We took it until we were saturated and while we were concerned about fallout rain but have stopped taking it now because I feel we can protect ourselves from radioactive Iodide-131 from eating our sea veggies and to avoid toxicity.  I have some additional supply on hand as a precaution. We are too close to Nuclear Reactors situated in major earth quake zones for my comfort.  I won’t go into potassium iodide here as this subject is too detailed and many have written on the precautions and correct dosage. Wow you are so on the mark with the foods to focus consuming and foods to avoid. This is the first time I stumbled onto your blog. My personal plan presently is to focus on a healthy diet. I want to live a high quality life for many many years. Along with exercise and attitude, diet is tantamount!

If you are living in the US, on the west coast I wouldn’t panic! You will have a slight rise in radiation but not anything too much to worry about. I live 270 kms south of Fukushima in Yokohama. We have a lot more to worry about here. The main source of radiation for us is in the food. The government has increased the safe level of radiation in food to 500 bechtels/yr (originally 100). So I am testing all food and drink. I have found radiation in food from here and upwards to the north. But the safe limits have been increased so that food is being sold in supermarkets. Starting April 1st, 2012, they will reduce the level to 100 bechtels/yr again. Hopefully this will make a difference to food sold in shops. There is still water in our drinking water in small quantities, not large enough to be reported by the government though. Air levels are back to normal but there are always dust particles blowing around so I am wearing a mask. But generally most people don’t even worry about food and water. They eat out as usual and drink the tap water. The problem is that people are not being given the information about what is safe and what is not.
I agree with this blog post about protection from internal contamination although unless you are here in Japan and possibly Hawaii, I wouldn’t really worry about it too much. After Chernobyl southern Germany was contaminated too. In places near Munich, now 25 years later, actually have higher levels of radiation than we do here in Yokohama! The Fukushima accident is bad but not quite as bad as people initially thought. Avoid food grown in eastern Japan. Western and southern Japan is OK for food. And eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly. You are much more likely of getting sick from something else, like the heavy metals in your tap water or pesticides on your food than from Fukushima fallout!
