This spring I indulged in a short war with my self until I finally became dissatisfied enough that I decided to change two things about my life.

Although dissatisfaction has generally been a terrific catalyst for change, I am trying to learn to act before reaching rock bottom. This spring however, was the rock bottom that instigated some ACTION!

There were two things that I grew tired of constantly revisiting.

ONE - I want to exercise regularly and MAINTAIN IT. I know I will have more energy for everything if I can just squeeze a little time aside for exercise. (not including stroller walking - which I love!)

TWO - I WILL discover the benefits of meditation. There is no “self study” without meditation. It would be one of my regrets if I died tomorrow without having learned the benefits of meditation.

I have had an “on and off” relationship with meditation for many years. Mostly off. It’s like a little nag in my mind that says “you know if you meditated, I’m sure you wouldn’t have reacted that way!”

And exercise? Well, I am a walker not a runner so I am really excited about a new challenge I’ve started in the last few weeks that I can’t wait to share with you, but more on that later!

For now, it’s Operation Meditation!

There are just so many reasons to meditate, both scientifically proven and “life proven”.

Here are just a few of the many benefits of meditation:

  • Slowing of the aging process
  • Blood pressure normalizes
  • Decreased stress and anxiety
  • Increased vitality
  • Increased focus and problem solving skills
  • Self actualization
  • Greater capacity for intimacy
  • Increased intuition
  • Greater capacity to experience joy & peace

I have always believed that there is only “one way” to meditate. Sitting with legs crossed, eyes closed, in silent observation. In my experience, it has not been an easy practice. And that makes it very easy NOT to do.

Years ago at the height of my Yoga practice, I would have raised an eyebrow at what I’m about to say. But these days, being a busy mom - it’s all about getting the job done!

When my sister in law recommended an audio meditation system to me, I was intrigued. Could it actually work in the way that she described? Could I benefit in just a few years what would have otherwise taken a lifetime?

Maybe I’m the only person that has never heard of The Holosync Solution. Apparently it’s huge in the personal development circles and apparently James Arthur Ray from The Secret used it every day for 5 years.

After receiving the demo package and reading about the system and the testimonials, I decided I would be crazy not to try this out.

“Meditation is purification-not of who we are, but of the filter through which we see and experience who we are” Holosync Solution

I am giving myself a 90 day challenge with the Holosync Solution. I will set my alarm 30 minutes before my daughter wakes up every day and meditate using the system as describd.

I am curious:

  • Can a technology meditation device be effective and produce lasting changes in such a short amount of time?
  • Am I wimping out of the real deal by not meditating in a traditional style?
  • Will Holosync actually send me deeper into meditation than any other meditation style?

At this point, my only goal is that I won’t have to make meditation a goal any longer.
