I’ve made a lot of lists in my day and I use them pretty much every day. I even have lists about my “master” lists so when I can figure out a way to keep my life together without requiring a list I’ll be sure to let you know.
I have made lists about the top “fifty things I want to do & see before I die” and I have a list of “50 things I want to accomplish” but I have never made a list of things I like about myself, let alone 50 of them!
I think it’s time I did.
We are so quick to be hard on ourselves and point out the things we want to change in ourselves but what if we were empowered enough to really appreciate ourselves? What if Moms everywhere began making a list like this?
Making a list of “things I like” first brought up my Ego. I thought, wow am I conceited to list all this? It this OK? What will people think?
Then I felt silly…..
Can you imagine that I almost felt as though I had to ask permission to be AMAZING in my OWN skin?
But the more I pressed on, the more I felt genuinely happy about acknowledging the aspects of myself that I often overlook.
We are in a time right now where female empowerment is beginning to take on a different tone.
It is not our mother’s fight to be equal any longer. The new awareness is not a fight at all, but a stepping into our own power and authenticity.
I feel women everywhere are beginning to ask themselves what they REALLY want?
In order for women to step into their power, the power that comes from embracing our true feminine essence, women must first face why we have chosen to believe messages of being UNWORTHY and NOT ENOUGH.
I created a list of what I like about myself because I know that my future depends, not on others, but what I FEEL within myself, is possible for my life.
When a woman feels she is not enough, it is pretty hard to write a list of things she likes about herself, isn’t it?
Can you see where I am going with this?
Create a list for yourself. Create this list because you no longer choose to accept that you are NOT ENOUGH or UNWORTHY.
So, in creating this list – you declare and accept where you are at with your Self.
It’s OK – if you don’t feel amazing or find it hard to write the list.
But you choose to do what you can and OWN your own right to feel worthy TO YOURSELF
I invite you to embrace all the
amazing
funny
cute
daring
gritty
sensuous
powerful
childlike
warrior
healing
nurturing
wild
vulnerable ….things about yourself.
Here is my temporary list, because I will be adding to it as I evolve as a woman…
