While my good friend Monica is getting back on her feet after a rough go with morning sickness, I thought I’d help her out and do some posting here at Healthy Green Moms. Healthy Child Healthy World has come up with a fabulous idea to help keep our children as healthy and safe as possible:
Healthy Home Parties, sponsored by Healthy Child Healthy World, provide a unique opportunity to gather Moms together to learn more about healthier options and they would love you to volunteer and host them!
Quarterly, the organization sends a packet of goodies to volunteers that offer to have a Healthy Home Party. No qualifications needed. The idea behind the party, to educate and spark discussion and dialogue, we learn best from one another. Free product samples, literature, an action booklet and everything that you could possibly need to have a successful home party. Just invite the people.
What I like most about Healthy Child Healthy World is the mission to educate and inform for the sake of our children. Read the touching story about how the organization began and you’ll be motivated more then you might already be today. As a mom, I know that nothing is more important then my children.
Before children, I wanted to live a healthy life but now I want to live healthy for my children and advocate for them to breathe cleaner air, to not suck on toxic baby bottles or eat pesticide-laden foods. Monica has some great posts about eating healthy, giving baby a green start and using green cleaners for your health. Another reason why I find this organization and topic a great fit for Healthy Green Moms.
Healthy Child Healthy World is an non-profit organization that partners with companies, bloggers, and parents to make the world our environment healthier and safer for our children. Isn’t that what we all want?
Become involved. Educate and advocate for healthier environments. Join Healthy Child Healthy World and have a party to spread the message about alternatives to toxic cleaning products, organic cotton, safe plastics and fresh organic fruits and vegetables.

These are my thoughts on living a healthy and simple life. I'm a modern mom with some traditional ideas.
